Faribault Public Schools starts saving from Community Solar - Faribault Daily News

Faribault has seen a reduction in pollution since the installation of solar gardens last fall, and the school district has seen another reduction — in its energy bill. To date, Faribault Public Schools Financial Director Andrew Adams said the district saved approximately $11,300 on energy costs since March.

Nokomis Energy subscribes MNDOT to 9 community solar gardens across state

We’re happy to provide the Minnesota Department of Transportation with savings through community solar that will not only effect the department’s budget but all the taxpayers of Minnesota. This great state continues to lead the nation in renewable energy investment. From St. Cloud to Mankato to Faribault, MnDOT will now be receiving savings from Nokomis’ gardens for the foreseeable future.

Nokomis Energy cuts the ribbon on 4 community solar gardens in Faribault, MN

We cut the ribbon on 4 Faribault Area Community Solar Gardens! Big thanks to all our partners and subscribers including; Faribault Senior High School, Frandsen Bank & Trust, Minnesota Department of Transportation, and Goodhue County, Minnesota. 1st of their kind – Value of Solar – These community solar gardens are a part of the first group of projects in the nation to be constructed under a utility rate program that is not ratepayer subsidized. The Minnesota Value of Solar rate program provides savings to subscribers without impacting other rate payers, ushering in a new era of clean energy deployment.

Excelsior Energy Capital and Nokomis Energy partner on 16.5-MW Minnesota solar portfolio

Excelsior Energy Capital, an independent North American renewable energy investor, announced that its North American Renewable Energy Fund has agreed to partner with Nokomis Energy on the construction and operation of a 16.5-MW solar portfolio. Excelsior will be the long-term owner of the portfolio. In addition, Excelsior and Nokomis are already working on their next portfolio, seeking to leverage this experience to streamline future development.
